My Thanksgiving Week Plan

I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is NEXT week!! It seems crazy that the holiday season is upon us!

So, in order to be ready and organized I’ve come up with a plan!

Today (Wednesday)

Clean out pantry (done!)
Clean out fridge (done!)
Cut up bread for stuffing (done!)
Make plan for the week (almost done!)
Shop for the rest of my Thanksgiving food (done!)

Thursday

Start picking up house (started!)
Make list of last minute groceries

Friday

Continue to pick up house

Saturday

Start thawing out turkey in fridge

Sunday

Continue to pick up house (yes, my house is messy LOL LOL, it’s a constant battle)
Copy all recipes (I like to do this so I can see them and have them in one spot)
Go over recipes to double check what I need

Monday

Keep cleaning house

Tuesday

Pick up any last minute groceries
Clean guest bathroom
Vacuum house

Wednesday

Finish Picking up house
Wash sheets for guest room (aka my daughter’s room)
Wipe down guest bathroom (last minute clean up)
Pick up parents from airport
Make Lemon Cheesecake
Make cranberry relish

THANKSGIVING DAY!

We are having our “big” meal at normal dinner time so I’m not in a big rush to put it all together right when I wake up. I’m pretty excited just to have a chill day with my family. My step mom is making breakfast, then we’ll have a casual lunch, then dinner around 6 pm.

prep all veggies
put together stuffing
cook turkey
set table
get out all dishes we’ll be using
bake sweet potatoes
make mashed potatoes
let turkey rest/make gravy
carve turkey
EAT!!

My $.08 Snack for my Kids

I am so excited about this EASY EASY recipe!! I actually made it in about 5 minutes!

Mandarin Orange Jello Cups

1 Can Mandarin Oranges (drained)

1 Box Orange Jello (or desired flavor)

Divide oranges in 6-8 cups. (I use the little Tupperware cups with lids)

Make Jello as box states.

Pour jello over oranges then put lid on each cup. (you can also put it into one big dish, but my kids LOVE the little individual cups)

Put in fridge for 3 hours and serve!

I am so happy to share this recipe with you! It is such an inexpensive and EASY way to make snacks for you or your kids! I got the oranges for FREE (King Sooper’s mega sale last week) and I paid $.085 for the jello! (it’s on sale at several places, Walmart has it for $.50 and I had a coupon for $1.25 off 3! (look at ALL your supermarket’s holiday displays, TONS of them have GREAT high value coupons!) So, for each cup I paid about $.01!! That’s my kind of snack!!
